There is nowhere to park and more importantly nowhere to actually ride. Our events are situated so that you can ride our beautiful Lake county back roads and still have a place to stop in and enjoy a cold beer and enjoy some great live rock-n-roll without the suffocating crowds. The big picture is for BIKEFEST to become an annual event such as Leesburg Bikefest. |
| A Note To Bikers: History In The Making Not so long ago in an alcohol induced fog several big dreamers that love to ride decided to have a party. Not just any party, but a party for everyone. Within three days they pulled permits, went before the city commissioners and rented a venue.
Now a mere 17 days later this seemingly bad idea has come into fruition. Everybody said it could never happen in such a short amount of time but here we are ready or not. I'm not saying it was easy, cause damn it, it wasn't. Especially on the same weekend as Daytona. Then again everyone we spoke to wasn't going there anyways.
Our ultimate goal is to have 3 events a year. There are no events in November or December so guess when our next event will be. Now that we know it can be done just imagine what could happen when we have more time to plan.
This has been a learning experience for us and believe me the education we have gained will be put to good use next time.
All of the local, county and government agencies have been wonderful. Thanks again.
